Thunder and Lightning

Thunder came through town last night,

Lightning tagged along.

She struck a path of brightest light,

Her love for him was strong.

Together for eternity,

She thanked the stars above;

For Thunder whispered in her ear,

A tender word of love.

The sudden heat intensified

As Lightning closed her eyes.

She moved with him ‘tween cloud and earth,

Exploding in the sky.

So Thunder held his lover close,

While Lightning shed a tear.

To life below the rain did fall,

And passion holds no fear.
